Biography

Born on 20-11-1983, Bongani Makhathini is an experienced actor emanating from Otongaat, Kwazulu-Natal (KZN). He crew up within a church community where he gained valuable music background and experience performing in stage plays. He would be draw inspiration from the works of leading icons such as Tyler Perry. Upon completing high school, Bongani studied Dramatic Art, Script Writing, and Directing at Adam’s College in iLembe District, KZN. In the mid 2000, after graduating, Bongani started his script writing journey which saw his scripting Indlela Eya Emshadweni - a play that was performed in theatre between 2001 and 2003. During the same period, he was also performing on stage as Shaka Zulu under the directorship of Dumisani Mnyandu. Bongani Mkhathini recently appeared in leading shows such as House of Zwide, Shaka ILembe, Scandal, The Queen, and Uzalo.
